Thistleberry Farm 2009 Scarecrow Contest

Information:

• The following prizes will be awarded:
  First place: $100
  Second place: $50
  Third Place: $25
• Scarecrows must be brought to the farm by Friday, October 9th.
• Thistleberry Farm customers will vote for their favorite scarecrow between Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 25th. Winners will be contacted and results will be published here.
• Scarecrows will be on display outside at Thistleberry Farm during the month of October, so make them weatherproof.

Rules:

• Scarecrows must be brought to the farm between September 30th and October 9th. We will provide a post to wire the scarecrow to for display purposes.
• Scarecrow contest entry form must be filled out and brought with your scarecrow. There is a $5 entrance fee. Please let us know if you are planning on entering a scarecrow in our contest so that we can make sure we have plenty of room available.
• Individuals and groups are welcome to enter. Entry form may be downloaded from here.
• Scarecrow and props must fit into a 6 ft x 6 ft area. Scarecrows must be at least 4 ft tall and not more than 8 ft tall.
• Entries must be homemade. Rubber, plastic, or store bought masks are not allowed.
• Participants must name their entry using a sign no larger than 1ft x 3ft.
• All entries must be appropriate to be viewed by all ages. Thistleberry Farm reserves the right to disqualify any entries for any reason.
• Scarecrows may be picked up by their owners on Saturday, October 31st.. Any scarecrows not picked up by 4pm on that day will be discarded.
• No purchase necessary to enter.
